Amazon has officially announced the date that Prime Video Canada subscribers are going to start seeing ads on the streaming service.
“To continue investing in compelling content and keep increasing that investment over a long period of time, starting in early 2024, Prime Video shows and movies will include limited advertisements,” the company said in a press release back in September.

“We aim to have meaningfully fewer ads than linear TV and other streaming TV providers,” they added.
Amazon confirmed on their service this week that movies and TV shows will have limited ads start on February 5, 2024.
While the overall price of a Prime membership is not increasing in 2024, the company is offering an ad-free Prime Video Canada option for an extra $2.99 per month. You can sign-up for the ad-free option now at primevideo.com/adfree.
There are lots of new series and movies coming to Prime Video Canada in 2024, including Fallout, season four of The Boys and Mr. & Mrs. Smith, starring Donald Glover and Maya Erskine.
