IKEA Canada is opening three new Plan and order points this year in London and Barrie, Ontario, and Lachenaie, Quebec.
The London, Ont. location will open on March 6 in the Wonderland Power Centre located at 3120 Wonderland Road South. Lachenaie’s Plan and order point will open its doors for customers on March 20 at 552 Montée des Pionniers in the Galeries de Lanaudière shopping centre.

“We’re excited to bring an elevated planning experience to our London and Lachenaie neighbours and help them take the guess work out of planning the space of their dreams,” said Inna Romagnoli, Country Business Development and Transformation Manager, IKEA Canada.
Due to growing demand for Plan and order points, Barrie, Ont. is gaining a location at the SmartCentres Barrie South shopping centre in the summer of 2024. Once the Barrie location is up and running there will be a total of eight IKEA Plan and order points in Canada.
What are IKEA Plan and order points?
Plan and order points are IKEA locations where customers can schedule an appointment or simply walk in and sit down with an IKEA employee that’s skilled in planning complex purchases, including kitchen or bedroom storage projects. Products needed for these projects are not available for takeaway from Plan and order points but can be delivered to the homes of customers or to an IKEA Click and collect point.
“Our recent IKEA Life at Home report has shown that up to 50 per cent of Canadians are looking to either move or renovate their homes in the next two years, and we want to support them by providing affordable and inspiring home furnishing solutions that meet the evolving needs of their homes,” said Romagnoli.
For 47 years the home furnishing brand has been dedicated to helping Canadians create beautiful and affordable homes. IKEA is showing this dedication by recently announcing an investment of $80M in an effort to reduce prices on over a thousand products throughout 2024 due to the current rising cost-of-living crisis.
