Sony Pictures Home Entertainment announced today that Ridley Scott’s 2001 war film Black Hawk Down is getting a limited edition 4K UHD Steelbook release in November.
The film is based on a true story about a group of American Rangers and Delta Force soldiers sent into Somalia in 1993 to capture a violent warlord. It stars Ewan McGregor, Josh Hartnett, Eric Bana, Tom Hardy and Orlando Bloom.
The 4K UHD Steelbook release comes with Dolby Vision presentations of both the theatrical and extended versions of the film in a 2.40:1 aspect ratio. Both also have Dolby Atmos (Dolby TrueHD 7.1 Compatible) and 5.1 DTS-HD MA sound tracks.
Black Hawk Down 4K Ultra HD Steelbook features
The 3-disc set includes a Blu-ray disc with the theatrical version of the film in HD and another disc with hours of bonus content.
