To coincide with the release of Bradley Cooper’s Golden Globe-nominated film Maestro, Deutsche Grammophon has released the soundtrack as a 2LP vinyl set.
Maestro is a biopic of composer Leonard Bernstein and many famous works of his appear on the soundtrack, including compositions from West Side Story and On the Waterfront.
The new recordings were made by the London Symphony Orchestra with artist Yannick Nézet-Séguin, who worked as the conducting consultant on the film.
Along with starring as Leonard Bernstein, Cooper also wrote and directed the movie, which co-stars Carey Mulligan, Matt Bomer, Sarah Silverman and Maya Hawke.
