Financial sites creditcardGenius and moneyGenius have selected the best credit cards in Canada for 2024 along with the best personal finance products for Canadians this year.
The two sites researched and rated over 500 credit card and personal finance products in Canada to come up with their top picks.
“It’s our mission to help Canadians see past all the noisy marketing and find the personal finance products that are actually best for them,” Stephen Weyman, co-founder of moneyGenius and creditcardGenius, said in a release.

The rankings were done with a math-based system that uses an algorithm to compare over 126 features of more than 200 credit cards.
MBNA Rewards World Elite Mastercard was named the best cash back credit card in Canada while the American Express Green Card was selected as the best no fee credit card in Canada.
The award for best balance transfer credit card went to the MBNA True Line Mastercard and the best overall credit card was awarded to the American Express Cobalt.
For personal finance products, KOHO Earn Interest was named best savings account and the Scotiabank Ultimate Package was named best chequing account. Wealthsimple Tax was awarded best tax software.
A total of 80 awards were issued by the two sites.
