You can now watch The Marvels at home in Canada on VOD platforms before it arrives on Disney+ Canada at a later date.
Disney announced that The Marvels would arrive on VOD platforms in Canada on January 16. Apple TV currently has it available to buy for $24.99. The movie will also be released on 4K Blu-ray on February 13 and is available for pre-order on Amazon now for $40.99.
Brie Larson returns as Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel in The Marvels, and is joined this time by Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau and Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel. They of course have to team up to try to save the world.
You’ll be familiar with these new characters if you’ve watched the Disney+ shows WandaVision and Ms. Marvel, which are both worth checking out if you haven’t yet.
While critics gave the The Marvels mostly favourable reviews (it currently has a 62% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes with an 83% audience score), it was a box office disaster upon release, becoming the lowest-grossing Marvel film to date with only a $274.8 million gross.
Official description of The Marvels
In Marvel Studios’ The Marvels, Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. But unintended consequences see Carol shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe. When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with that of Jersey City super-fan Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, and Carol’s estranged niece, now S.A.B.E.R. astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau. Together, this unlikely trio must team up and learn to work in concert to save the universe as ‘The Marvels.’
The film stars Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris, Iman Vellani, Samuel L. Jackson, Zawe Ashton and Park Seo-joon. Nia DaCosta directs, and Kevin Feige is the producer. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Mary Livanos and Matthew Jenkins serve as executive producers. The screenplay is by Megan McDonnell, Nia DaCosta, Elissa Karasik and Zeb Wells.

There’s currently no word on when The Marvels will be streaming on Disney+ Canada, but our best guess is it will be available to watch on the service around the middle of March.
