To help showcase their recently opened 30-table poker room, the Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto is hosting the city’s first World Series of Poker (WSOP) Circuit event this spring.
Featuring a total of eight Circuit Ring games, the Toronto WSOP will be headlined by $3.9 million in estimated prize pools that will include a $2,000 Main Event, with a $2.1 million prize pool, and $3,500 High Roller event, with a prize pool of more than $850,000.
“We are excited to welcome tournament participants from across the North American poker community and from right here in the City of Toronto and are certain that this event is going to be a huge success,” said Robert Katsavelos, General Manager of the Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto.

GGPoker will be exclusively operating the online qualifying tournaments and will be hosting Brand Ambassadors at the WSOP Circuit in Toronto, including local poker hero Daniel Negreanu.
“I have been playing WSOP events around the world for over 25 years,” Negreanu said in a release. “There is something quite special about being able to finally compete in one in my hometown.”
The Toronto WSOP Circuit event runs from March 22 – April 1, 2024 at the Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto. The full schedule of events will be announced soon.
