Health Canada has expanded a recall on Rojada Child Safety Seats that was initially issued on September 20, 2023.
The safety seats were sold on Amazon.ca and do not display Transport Canada’s National Safety Mark. This means that the products have not been certified to meet the safety requirements of the Motor Vehicle Restraint Systems and Booster Seats Safety Regulations.
The following products are affected under the recall:
- Rojada Auto Child Safety Seat Mat Simple Car Portable Seat Belt, Strong Car Seat Covers for Children & Baby Car Seats, for Toddler, Baby, Short People (Coffee, Big).
- Amazon Standard Identification Number (ASIN): B0BVB62QC5
- Rojada Auto Child Safety Seat Mat Simple Car Portable Seat Belt, Strong Car Seat Covers for Children & Baby Car Seats, for Toddler, Baby, Short People (Red, Big)
- Amazon Standard Identification Number (ASIN): B0BVB5VCVP
- Rojada Auto Child Safety Seat Mat Simple Car Portable Seat Belt, Strong Car Seat Covers for Children & Baby Car Seats, for Toddler, Baby, Short People (Sky Blue, Small)
- Amazon Standard Identification Number (ASIN): B0BVB691K2
Health Canada says that use of these products in a vehicle could increase the risk of injury in the event of an accident.

Continuing to use these products would also be considered illegal under provincial and territorial highway regulations.
Consumers are asked to stop using the products immediately and to “safely dispose of them in such a way that they cannot be used again.”
Amazon has reported that 266 units were sold in Canada. The products have since been removed from Amazon.ca. No incidents or injuries involving the products have been reported to Health Canada.
