Ian McKee-Judd of Woodstock is $2 million richer after winning with INSTANT 20X SUPREME (Game #2204).
Ian, a 67-year-old retiree, said this isn’t his first big win. “I won $100,000 on an INSTANT ticket on Christmas Day in 2008,” he shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings. “My favourite games are LOTTO 6/49, LOTTO MAX, LOTTARIO and INSTANT tickets.”
The husband and father of two said he played his ticket in his vehicle when he discovered his win. “I uncovered the first line and saw $2 million. I stared at the ticket for a while wondering if it was real.” Ian drove back to the store and handed the ticket to the store clerk. “She couldn’t believe it and started jumping with joy,” he laughed.
He headed to pick up his wife from an appointment next and shared his big news with her. “She didn’t believe me at first and thought I was pranking her. When she realized it was real, she was so happy,” he smiled. “My wife is my best friend – I am so happy I was able to share this moment with her.”
Ian said he is excited to afford the little things now. “I have many dietary restrictions, so if I want to buy a $20 gluten-free cookie, I’m going for it!” he said. “I’m going to share with my family and siblings. I want to share this joy.”
He also plans to purchase a home and invest for the future. “I just want to scream from the top of my lungs, ‘I just won the lottery, and I am a millionaire!’ I’m the luckiest man in the world,” he concluded.
