LG announced a new 4K home theatre projector this week that when not in use looks like a vintage 8mm film camera.
The small LG CineBeam Qube has an RGB laser light source and can project 4K UHD resolution up to 120 inches and boasts a 450,000:1 contrast ratio.
“Great for spaces large and small, LG CineBeam Qube is a unique lifestyle projector possessing all the qualities consumers look for when choosing a new projection solution,” YS Lee, vice president and head of the IT business unit of LG Electronics Business Solutions Company, said in a press release.

The home theatre projector runs LG webOS 6.0 and offers access to streaming video apps like Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video and YouTube. It can also be used to project digital images when not in use to “enhance the ambiance” of any space.
There is currently no pricing information or release date available for the LG CineBeam Qube.
2024 LG QNED TVs
LG also announced their 2024 QNED TVs this week with advanced AI-powered processing technologies and screen sizes up to 98-inches.
The new line of TVs supports Apple AirPlay and Chromecast and offers virtual 9.1.2 surround sound. Other screen sizes available include 43, 50, 55, 65, 75 and 86-inch.
“The LG 2024 LG QNED TV lineup takes the viewing experience to a whole new level with an advanced processor that enables outstanding audio-visual experiences across various screen sizes, while also providing a personalized user experience tailored to each individual’s unique lifestyle and preferences,” said Baik Seon-pill, head of the LG Home Entertainment Company’s Product Planning Division.
LG will have the CineBeam Qube and the new QNED TVs on display at CES 2024 in Las Vegas from January 9 – 12.
