If you’re a parent eligible for the Canada child tax benefit, you might want to note the dates that payments will be made each month in 2024.
The CRA makes Canada child benefit payments on the following dates in 2024:
- January 19, 2024
- February 20, 2024
- March 20, 2024
- April 19, 2024
- May 17, 2024
- June 20, 2024
- July 19, 2024
- August 20, 2024
- September 20, 2024
- October 18, 2024
- November 20, 2024
- December 13, 2024
The CRA notes that you will not receive a monthly payment if your total benefit amount for the year is less than $240. You will receive one lump sum payment with your July payment instead.
The Canada child benefit is a monthly payment provided by the Canadian government to eligible parents of to help with the cost of raising children under the age of 18. The monthly payment amount is based on factors such as family income and the number of children.
