Gayle Levesque of Niagara Falls, Ont. won $100,000 on an Instant Gold Pursuit scratch ticket.
Gayle, who works as a medical assistant, says she is not a regular lottery player and this ticket was a birthday gift from her husband.
“I was laying in bed one morning while playing my ticket and checked it on the OLG app. I heard the winning tune and thought for sure something was wrong. I thought it was a mistake!”

“When I showed my husband, his jaw dropped,” Gayle shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her winnings. “He thought I was pranking him at first!”
The 55-year-old says she has a lot of plans for her win.
“I will pay off some bills, share some with my children and put some aside for the future. My husband and I will celebrate by taking a cruise together,” she concluded.
The winning ticket was purchased at Shoppers Drug Mart on Montrose Road in Niagara Falls.
Instant Gold Pursuit scratch tickets were released in January and are available to purchase at authorized OLG retailers for $25. The ticket is a hybrid scratch ticket and classic lottery draw with 50 winning tickets worth $100,000 across Ontario. The odds of winning any prize on the ticket are 1 in 3.19.
