The Mega Millions jackpot has hit $1.1 billion US; the fifth largest prize in the history of the lottery.
There’s been 30 drawings without a jackpot win in the U.S. lottery after no ticket matched all six numbers for the Friday, March 22 draw. The numbers were 3, 8, 31, 35 and 44, plus the gold Mega Ball 16.
The next draw on Tuesday, March 26 now has an estimated $1.1 billion US jackpot (roughly $1.5 billion Canadian) with a lump sum cash option of $525.8 million US (around $715 million CDN).

“Large jackpots provide entertainment and winnings for our players nationwide while contributing to the beneficiary programs funded by each lottery. We appreciate our players and dedicated retailers, and we encourage everyone to play responsibly,” said Georgia Lottery President and CEO Gretchen Corbin, lead director of the Mega Millions Consortium.
The largest Mega Millions jackpot in its history was $1.602 billion US, which was won by someone in Florida on August 8, 2023. There have been another four jackpots over $1 billion US. With this current jackpot, Mega Millions now becomes the only lottery game to cross $1 billion six times.
