Health Canada has recalled ice buckets on select Frigidaire refrigerators over choking and laceration hazards.
The affected products include side-by-side Frigidaire refrigerators produced between 2015 and 2019 that come with slim ice buckets.

According to Health Canada, the ice buckets on these models can break, resulting in plastic pieces entering the ice bucket and posing choking and laceration hazards.
The following Frigidaire models, serial number ranges and ice bucket assembly kit numbers are included in the recall.

What you should do
Health Canada says you should immediately stop using the ice makers on these products, discard any ice in the bucket and contact Electrolux to request a new ice bucket free of charge.

The company has received 343 reports in the United States of broken plastic being dispensed into cups and two reports of injuries as of February 8, 2024. There have been no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.
