Nicole Kidman’s standout 1995 film To Die For is getting a Criterion 4K Blu-ray release in March.
Directed by Gus Van Sant, To Die For tells the story of a local TV weather reporter (Kidman) who desires more fame and respect than she currently has. She sets out to film a documentary on teenagers, manipulating them along the way to get what she wants.
Matt Dillon, Joaquin Phoenix and Casey Affleck also star.

Features on Criterion’s To Die For 4K Blu-ray release
Along with a new 4K digital restoration, approved by director Gus Van Sant and director of photography Eric Alan Edwards, the Criterion To Die For 4K Blu-ray release also has a 5.1 surround DTS-HD MA soundtrack and the following features:
- One 4K UHD disc of the film presented in Dolby Vision HDR and one Blu-ray with the film and special features
- Audio commentary featuring Van Sant, Edwards, and editor Curtiss Clayton
- Deleted scenes
- Trailer
- English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing

Last October Criterion released Kidman’s The Others on 4K Blu-ray and more recently they released Trainspotting on 4K Blu-ray in glow-in-the-dark packaging.
